A note on the “adopt don’t shop” movement.

There is nothing wrong with having the choice to shop and to do so with a breeder than runs their program based on principles such as integrity, transparency and always putting the health and well-being of their dogs and puppies first.  If people were no longer given the option to work with a breeder to find the best dog for their wants and needs, we would no longer have purebred, hybrid or other carefully bred dogs to high standards of conformation, temperament an health requirements to serve as therapy dogs, facility dogs, service dogs or loving, reliable family companions.

What are you looking for in a puppy?  What is your home situation?

When thinking about bringing home a puppy, take some time to think about what you are looking for in a puppy and give consideration to your home situation.

What is the activity level of your home – do you want a dog with high energy or low energy?

Do you have young children – do you want a tenderhearted, confident, playful dog?

Are you looking for a service dog, facility dog, therapy dog, or emotional support dog?

Do you want a dog that is super clingy or not clingy at all?

Do you have other pets at home?

Do you prefer assertive, confident, reserved, or other personability traits in your dog?

We can help you choose the correct puppy when the time comes.
